- EXHIBITION at CHÂTEAU de FONTAINEBLEAU

. The CHÂTEAU de FONTAINEBLEAU (one of the residence of Napoleon Buonaparte) hosts the American Art  School of Architecture of Fontainebleau (Ecole d'art et d'Architecture Americaine de Fontainebleau), where Marino di Teana teached during more than 15 years.

An exhibition and event have been organised in his honour, and in the presence of the Mayor of Fontainebleau, Mr. Frédéric Valletoux. The teachers, the students and former students of the School, came especially for the occasion, and met with Di Teana with warm feelings and emotion.

- INAUGURATION of FOUR MONUMENTAL SCULPTURES IN ITALY

. The city of Teana now offers a full open air museum with three corten steel sculptures, a Carrare marble fountain sculpture, and a bronze scupture, representng Emperor Frederic II Hohenstaufen on a horse ; the sculpture also serves as a memorial.

On this occasion two movies were made for the television network and for the Internet "Periplo della scultura di Marino di Teana ". RAI television network was present at the event.

- THE 25 meters high MONUMENTAL FOUNTAIN-SCULPTURE PROJECT

"Hommage to Horace " is the project wich was selected by the region's decision makers. The fountain-sculpture will reach 25 meters high and will be built out of aluminum. It is destined to the large place of the Ventrile roundabout. It will stand as a symbol for the region.

THE  MAINTENANCE OF MONUMENTAL SCULPTURES :

GREAT :

The town of Briare gets back the sculpture executed with use of the 1% for the Paul Langevin high school which is presently closed.

The sculpture could have been abandoned, but Mr. Marius COLLOT, the mayor of Briare got in touch with Marino di Teana and asked his advice to renovate it. The sculpture has now been completely transformed, and is highlighted on one of the roundabouts of the city.

Congratulations. Di Teana wishes to convey his thanks to the city for this achievement and example.

A SHAME:

We received photos of the sculpture of the Jean Mermoz high school in Montpellier. It was one the rare and superb works of "H" shaped steel structures, 16 meters high as archived photos show when the sculpture was delivered and stood in a wide open space.

It is with dismay and sadness that we found it again all rusted, amputated by half, cut with a blow torch, enclosed by a grid on the side of a parking.

Marino di Teana was not even advised of the destruction of this sculpture, nor was he consulted for its possible renovation which would not have cost more than the grid that presently encloses its remains !

ARE ALL THE SCULPTURES EXECUTED USING THE 1% ENVELOPE DESTINED TO BE FORGOTTEN AND DESTROYED ?
